About Us

On June 23 2020, I crashed my Ferrari.

It was not as serious as it might look, but some major repair works are inevitable. The dealer quoted the repair bill doubled the market value of the car, with no guarantee on the condition of car after the fix. What they did was to list all the parts that might be damaged during the accident and quoted to replace all of them.

I was attached to the car, still am, for I drove my wife to hospital in the very car and my daughter was born the following day. That is the moment when I realized while the dealer saw a project, it meant so much more to its owner. I wished I owned a workshop to have my cars, and all the cars that have been cherished, looked after.

Mechanics? Oh yes. Mechanics. I knew Matthew back then. He was working on my Rolls Royce Silver Seraph at the time and we discussed about my vision of establishing a workshop where we would look after each project knowing what it meant to its owner. It was to my surprise and pleasure to know that he long had the same vision of a “caring workshop”. And it does not take long for us to decide to set up a place of our own.

The great city of Hong Kong is home to so many lovely cars yet it lacks the place with the caring mind and professionalism to have them looked after. At Autoficionado, we care about your cars, no less than how we would to our own.

We look forward to welcoming all car enthusiasts to visit and discussing about all-thing and anything automotive!

I began my career with Bentley Motors in the United Kingdom as an apprentice back in the early 00's when the new Continental GT was launched. As a teenager I had no other career path in mind, I followed my passion and enthusiasm for everything automotive.

I started as every trainee does, doing the mundane day to day tasks to assist the technicians and engineers who were passing on their knowledge to me. I soon became at home in the workshop environment and an integral part of the team. Graduating my apprenticeship a year early, I then progressed through the workshop attending many training courses as both I and the Bentley brand progressed, eventually leading me to attain Bentley Master technician status in 2014.

Over the years I have had the privilege of working on some of the most beautiful and exotic cars. Bentley, Rolls Royce, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Spyker, Ascari, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin... the list goes on. I pride myself in the work I do and being trusted by my customers to look after their prized vehicles. Now as Co-founder of Autoficionado, running my own workshop with Mark, my vision for an automotive hub in Hong Kong has been realised!
